Questionnaire 2013 Comments/Responses

As well as the 2013 questionnaire, we also gave out 120 mini questionnaires early 2014. We had 79 completed, with 3 void. This was an additional interim questionnaire. Many thanks to those patients who took the time to complete them.

Below are some of the questions added with a response from the practice:

Comment –     Telephone - Very good service, quick. Receptionist very helpful and friendly.

Friendly staff and everything is run professionally.

Very quick same day appointment for my baby.

                        Quick and easy visit.

R -       Many thanks for this feedback, it is much appreciated.

Comment -       I find it Difficult to get an appointment with a lady doctor.

R –      We do try and accommodate this request as we have four female doctors working in the practice. However there are times, especially if it is a particular doctor that is requested when their list is full. Our apologies, but we hope that you understand if a male GP has free slots, we cannot overload another GP.

Comment -       I don’t feel happy that on most occasions I have had to take my daughter to the urgent care centre when I prefer to see the doctor.

R –      Would this patient be good enough to contact the Practice Manager, to allow us to investigate this comment further. We are unsure of the age of this person and also the circumstances.

Comment – The new doctors is very good.

R –      Many thanks for this comment. We all need praise as well as constructive criticism and we continually strive to do our best.

Comment – (Feedback scored us high, however) Running 1 hr late.

R -       There are times when a GP can over-run. We hope that patients accept that sometimes a GP will get held up caring for a previous patient, or there are emergencies that can crop up on a daily basis that need addressing immediately.

Comment – The service is very good as it now is a busy practice and takes time as prescriptions are having to be signed and each person has different ailments.

            Dealt with very politely

Happy with appointment as there are a lot of other people ill

Very good. Prescriptions can take time, but everyone must be patient.

            It’s a lovely Health Centre.

R -       We now have electronic prescribing, which means that your prescription can be ordered and sent directly to your preferred pharmacy without the need for you to contact the practice - contact your pharmacy for details. There may be delays with prescriptions if a GP has to review your medication, but this shouldn’t be excessive and usually falls within the 48hr turnaround for repeat prescriptions.

Many thanks for your all your comments.

If you require any injections or blood tests for occupational purposes, we no longer supply this service.

However, please ring Medi-Screen on 0161 604 5214 for further information.
